Insectarium to be continued
A - Aphid
Aphids, aphids, tiny people!
Look so calm an' look so feeble.
But they are so numerous
That for plants they're dangerous.
Now the sun is warmly shining,
They are daughters of the Mummy.
When the weather becomes cold
The whole race is getting old.
The spring's daughter can be glad
With both parents: Mummy'n'Dad!
D - Dragonfly
Who's the hero of the fight
Who can win the Dragon fly?!
From the cradle till the grave
It's a hunter, strong and brave.
How monstrous their kids are
With a mask, so huge, bizzare!
Chasing prey the adults fly
Like the aces of the high!
G - Grasshopper
Strong hip, long hop,
First down, then top.
With chirming beat
In summer heat.
Don't think it's noise,
They sing for choise.
A lot of kinds,
It's hard to find
A proper mate
While it's not late!
H - Hoverfly
Hover, hover, hoverfly,
Over blossom, not so high!
What are you so painted for?
Do you seek someone's adore?
"No, my dress is not for fame,
Nor the beauty is my aim.
It's for young birds, silly, cute,
By my wasp-style they're confused.
Thinking I have got a sting
They don't eat me. Pretty thing!"
M - Mayfly
Look at this small winged sprite
In its only deadly flight!
During water-dwelling years
just a day to fly it gains.
There is no time to eat:
Either mating or defeat!
So its want to fly is great -
It has wings before can mate!
S - Springtail
Springtails, ancient, queer creatures
With so odd, peculiar features
Orginized six-legged team.
They are champions of X-treme.
Look! They're hopping with no fear
But their landing is not clear.
Like free-stylers, they are rocking.
And this show's greatly shocking!
Fleas and hoppers can be nice -
Only springtails win the prize!
Y - Yucca moth
All have heard that honeybees
Live with plants in lovely peace.
Oh! It's only a first glance -
They bear pollen just by chance.
But the yucca moth's innate
Instinct works to pollinate.
Not relying on her robe,
Carries she the pollen globe!
