As a neighbour to cat

As a neighbour to cat
How incredible m' home -
A cat and I are neighbours.
And in how we look around
And choose our words
Unity flashed not once;

Eyes be they gaping
Or squinting, -
My vivaciousness - his wild power,
In step with the shadows,
We follow uncharted dreams,
Praising the street-lamps,

We walk in a pair,
We remain silent of the same,
We walk through the leaves past the edge,
Where forms and borders do not exist,
Nor heights, nor depths,
Eyes affixed on the lightning ahead.
